Since 2021 the Department of Defense has issued multiple UAP reports through the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office. These documents acknowledge dozens of incidents involving objects that exhibit flight characteristics beyond known technology. Sensor data from Navy aircraft and ships is referenced yet rarely released in raw form.

Whistleblowers and What They Handed Over

Testimony before Congress has included claims of recovered materials and restricted programs. Former intelligence official David Grusch stated under oath that non-human biologics were associated with some recoveries. The Pentagon responded with statements that no evidence of extraterrestrial technology has been verified, while simultaneously maintaining classification on the underlying case files.

The consistent institutional response has been incremental disclosure paired with ongoing secrecy on methodology and data sources.

Pattern of Partial Admissions

NASA and the Pentagon now publicly use the term UAP instead of UFO. Both agencies have formed review teams. At the same time, full sensor logs, radar tracks, and chain-of-custody records for alleged physical evidence remain outside public reach. This selective transparency fuels skepticism about what additional records exist inside classified channels.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s 2021 preliminary assessment listed 144 incidents. Later updates raised the total above 800. Most are attributed to balloons, drones, or sensor artifacts, yet a persistent subset is labeled unexplained after multi-sensor corroboration.

What Remains Classified

Key questions continue to sit behind classification barriers: the origin of materials reportedly recovered, the identity of programs that allegedly stored them, and the criteria used to decide which incidents receive deeper investigation. Until those thresholds are lowered, the public record stays incomplete by design.
